Rewind to November 29th, 2015. I first met Alex when she was a bridesmaid in the Antol wedding, already engaged at the time and soon to be married to her now husband Joe. Just weeks after celebrating their own wedding day on July 2, 2016, Alex reached out to me looking to set up an anniversary session for the following summer! This girl was on top of her stuff and I am SO glad she contacted me early on because my summer booked up quicker than I could have ever imaged (which I am so thankful for!!). We tossed around ideas for locations, first deciding on the rooftop of the Marriott in Lancaster where they were married, before deciding to move to Longwood Gardens. Just weeks before their session, Alex reached out asking to incorporate their dog Lulu (most photogenic pup, just wait and see) and to move their location to a local community park where Lulu would be able to come.
A week before their session, as I was checking in, Alex sent my the dresses she had ordered from Rent The Runway. And holy cow my jaw dropped! These dresses were stunning and I knew I had to do them justice and switch up the location one last time! We ultimately ended up shooting at Masonic Villages in Elizabethtown and I just love this place! I’ve photographed here in the past and it is always just so peaceful. These two were just so amazing and I still can’t get over how much of a difference outfit choices can really make! It just takes things to a whole new level and I need more of this in my near future =)
Mr. and Mrs. Heisey- Thank you for allowing me to capture such a beautiful year of love. I wish you both the happiest of anniversaries and all the love this world can bring!

And I will be all you need
Beside you I’ll stand through the good and the bad
We’ll give all that we have
And we’ll build this love from the ground up”
